Religion & Science: Pathways to Truth

6 Week Study - Offered Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:30 pm and Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 pm starting October 1. The cost is $12 and includes a participant guide. Register at the Welcome Center.
This course will afford an opportunity for dialogue on what seems to be a constantly relevant topic that osmehow continues to capture our attention. We will focus on the relationship, not the conflict, between religion and science. These two core realities in or lies address the how and why questions with which we wrestle daily. when we ignore one for he other or create a conflict between the two where none exists, we run the risk of losing our moorings in this world God has given us.
The foundation for this study will be a series of videos prepared by the Wesley Theological Seminary (United Methodist) and the book, The Language of God, written by Dr. Francis S. Collins who is the Director of the Human Genome Project. The study will be supplemented by other articles on the topic.
The videos will consist of presentations by several leading American and British theologians and scientists.
